KATIE SUMMERHAYES: HOW TO GET THE PERFECT FREESTYLE SETUP

Taking the step from piste skiing to park can be a little daunting for those uninitiated. From park etiquette and the potentially baffling language of freestyle skiing to dedicated freestyle fashion and specific technical setup of ski equipment, there’s a fair bit to take in.

The first port of call when thinking about freestyle is your ski equipment, after all it’s not much fun hitting big jumps and rails on a stiff pair of piste skis, if anything it’s going to be a lot trickier to make any serious progression. Ski slopestyle athlete Katie Summerhayes shares her insights and what you should look for when choosing your first freestyle setup.
