FESTIVAL TIME - TOP TEN FESTIVAL ESSENTIALS

The 2013 UK Festival season is well under way. The number and variety of festivals continues to grow with over 1000 festivals in the UK every summer. Old favorites such as Glastonbury and Reading and Leeds still attract big crowds, with these established music events joined by festivals celebrating the world of comedy, such as Edinburgh Fringe and the inclusion of even more family friendly festivals such as Camp Bestival to offer something for everyone.

There is no doubt that a festival weekend is a highlight of many people’s summer so here are 10 items we’d recommend for adults and children to help make your 2013 festival experience the best ever:

Hunter Lowther Wellies

This entry level Hunter is the festival-goer’s favourite. Using vulcanised natural rubber and a natural cotton lining, the Lowther maintains its strength and shape through long-term use.

Aquapac Camera Case
Designed to fit most small zoom compact cameras, these cases are fully waterproof and also protect from dust, sand and other contaminants. Excellent photo quality is assured above or below the waterline through the use of an ultra-clear optical quality LENZFLEX material.

Sea to Summit Dry Bags

The Big River bags are super strong and abrasion resistant heavy duty dry bags for regular and hard use in wet and muddy environments.

Petzl Tikka Plus Head Torch
The Tikka Plus 2 integrates two light sources for maximum trail versatility – a high-output white LED with three lighting modes (maximum/economic/flashing) and a single red LED, with two lighting modes (continuous/ blinking).

Vango Pop 200 Tent
The ultimate pop-up tent, the Pop 200 is constructed from quality components to provide a reliable, quick-erecting tent for short-stay summer camping, whether it’s a festival or party weekend.

Littlelife Cross Country S2

Lightweight, tough and comfortable to wear, the Cross Country S2 is designed for days out in the country or exploring the city. The pared down design still has all the safety features and storage options you are likely to need, but in a lightweight slimmed down package.

Nalgene Bottle

Nalgene’s iconic water bottle used by climbers, hikers and explorers the world over. The large wide-mouth opening easily accommodates ice cubes, fits most water purifiers and filters, and makes hand-washing a breeze. The attached loop-top never gets lost and screws on and off easily. Printed graduations on the side of bottle allow easy measuring.

Lifeventure All Purpose Soap

All Purpose Soap will lather in fresh or salty water. Concentrated so you don’t need much for each wash, this soap is ideal for hair, body, clothes, food or washing up and is biodegradable.

Lifeventure Money Belt
Using a metallic sliding buckle this attractive canvas belt looks normal, but has a hidden pocket next to the skin for keeping some hidden cash in case of an emergency.

Solar Monkey Adventurer
The Solarmonkey adventurer is a slimline, compact 2-panel solar charger with an integrated 2500mAh battery that strikes the perfect balance between weight and efficiency.
