AIRLINE SKI LUGGAGE ALLOWANCE & FEES 2018

Ski and Snowboard Luggage

If you're flying to your favourite resort this winter then paying to take your own ski and snowboard luggage is a necessary evil on some airlines (not all, thank you Swiss and BA!). We've done some research to save you time and produced a handy list for those sneaky little extra costs from 17 of the most popular airlines..

We found that most airlines will make some charge for two pieces of luggage. In the case of EasyJet you will pay for your sports equipment and luggage bag, but in the case of Swiss, Lufthansa and a few others your sports equipment is free, so if you can fit all your clothing into the same bag then you’ll pay nothing for luggage!

Click any of the airlines below to find out what charges might apply to your ski or snowboard equipment.*

*This table should be used as a guide only. It is highly recommended to double check with your airline before you fly as ticket type, destination and season will affect baggage allowances, weight limits and excess costs. Most fees are per one-way flight, per passenger and per item. The information on the table is based upon a passenger flying with a standard (economy ticket) from the UK to Europe and is correct as of December 2017.
