We're delighted to present the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed BBC hit 'Life of a Mountain: Scafell Pike'. This time, award winning film maker Terry Abraham returns to the Lake District to showcase 'the people's mountain', Blencathra.

This spectacular documentary looks at the lives of local residents, school children and visitors to the mountain with contributions from comedian Ed Byrne, broadcaster Stuart Maconie, mountaineer Alan Hinkes OBE and record breaking fell runner Steve Birkinshaw.

Featuring breath-taking photography and dramatic aerial footage of this iconic fell through the seasons, 'Life of a Mountain: Blencathra' will inspire both newcomers and regular visitors alike.

During this 65 minute presentation, film maker Terry Abraham will be revealing insights into the development of this abridged edit in preparation for its nationwide television premiere on the BBC in late 2016.

All proceeds from the evening will go to Wasdale Mountain Rescue and are available at the bottom of this blog.
