We enjoy hosting events in our stores and giving adventurers the opportunity to share their stories with audiences and we’re delighted to welcome full-time adventurers Gil and Bex to our Covent Garden store this Autumn.
Gil and Bex are part way through their biggest expedition yet, to be the first people to kick-scoot the length of the USA. Join them for an entertaining evening of inspiration to find out what it takes to achieve the impossible.
Feeling like they were capable of achieving more, Israeli-British couple Gil and Bex left their ordinary lives in London in 2016 to take on an impossible challenge. With limited experience and having done no training they headed to Israel to attempt a self-supported hike the length of the country. Two months later, having walked over 800 miles across the vast Negev desert, the couple successfully completed the hike - overcoming huge challenges and setbacks along the way.
Soon after, the couple built their own businesses enabling them to work as digital nomads and have since travelled and worked in 14 countries around the world. Always on the lookout for the next challenge, they have climbed active volcanoes, swam with whale sharks and crossed the Arctic Circle.
But now they are facing their biggest expedition yet - ‘Kicking the States’. A 1,600 mile muscle powered journey on kick scooters travelling all the way from Canada to Mexico. A journey of this undertaken has never been done before on scooters of this kind.
Join Gil and Bex for an evening of inspiration as they share insights and entertaining stories from their adventures.

Gil and Bex are using their current expedition, “Kicking the States”, to raise money for a charity called Africa’s Children in Education so they can help build a school in Tanzania.
They hope to raise $10,000 to build a new classroom that will help some of the world’s most disadvantaged children through education. The money from your ticket will go towards helping them reach this goal as all proceeds will be given to the fund.
Bex from the U.K.only discovered her love of the outdoors late in life.Despite her nerves, she threw herself into adventure and one of the first trips she ever did was hiking over 800miles the length of Israel.
Since then she has quit her job as a teacher and set up Love Her Wild, a community to help inspire more women to go on adventures. As well as taking on her own challenges, she now leads expeditions all over the world, often with a conservation focus.
Gil, originally from Israel, now splits his time between expedition leading and building websites. He loves to use expeditions and adventures to see what his body is capable of.Gil is a passionate freediver and regularly practises the martial art Aikido and recently returned from a three month Aikido internship in Japan.
