BRITAIN'S GOT SKIERS COMPETITION 2015

Ellis Brigham have been behind the production and distribution of an original British Freeski movie for the past 11 seasons.

This year it's back bigger and better than ever, with £2,000 of prize money up for grabs in the following categories:

£1000 – Best overall edit
£250 – Best female edit
£250 – Best newcomer edit
£250 – Best under 16 edit
£250 – Judge’s special prize

From July to the 13th of September skiers/editors can submit short edits to our Facebook page 'Britain's Got Skiers' - the idea is to highlight and showcase the talent that the UK has within skiing, to capture the spirit and passion of the UK’s skiing scene and to inspire people to take their skiing habits further and to new places. Therefore in order to qualify, all edits must feature British skiers, but not necessarily be on British soil.

Last year we had over 25 edits from all levels and disciplines with both individual and team entries. The top 10 were then selected for the DVD movie with the winning edit showcased as the final feature. The judge’s special prize was awarded for a exceptionally creative edit from a lad called Row Emery, whose footage was all filmed on his mobile phone, in black and white. Check it out below:

Ski The Kingdom took the first place prize with their infectious passion for skiing across all the slopes of the UK. Take a look at their edit below:

Previous years have seen edits from a range of rider levels and ages, focusing on freestyle, freeride and big mountain disciplines. We have some truly world class athletes in the videos including James Woods (5th place in the Sochi 2014 Olympic ski slopestyle event), who was in the 2013 winning edit and last year saw our first ever group entry to win first prize. Every year we are blown away by the talent and quality of the footage we receive, it’s great to see so many British skiers pushing the freeski limits and producing some really creative edits.

Britain's Got Skiers is not just about the competition, we run mini comps and have interesting content all year round so come and have a look at our page and if you have some footage from last season why not put an edit together and try to win £1,000!
