Ollie Customer Service

Specialism: Skiing, Snowboarding, Running

Ollie has been snowboarding for around 8 years, starting with family trips, then university trips, a season in Serre Chevalier as a qualified ski technician and now usually gets away once or twice a year.

Ollie usually ends up riding with skiers so doesn't tend to spend a lot of time in the park – he loves his all-mountain freestyle and plays on as many natural features as he can find when tearing up the piste.

"From my experience as a ski technician I'm pretty handy with servicing and maintaining kit so I can share my knowledge on how to get started or on trickier fixes.

"I run a few times a week – I try and get at least a 5k and 10k in and do a couple of miles sprint back home from the office 3 or 4 times a week."

Tristan Customer Service

Specialism: Skiing, Camping, Hiking

BASI-qualified Skiing expert Tristan has been tearing up the pistes since he can remember, and has ridden resorts all over Europe. While he is experienced in most skiing discplines, Tristan now focuses his attention on skiing powder, preferring to escape the crowds and find untracked lines. He counts Val D'Isere and Espace Killy as his favourite area, having spent countless weeks and an unforgettable ski season there.

"The most amazing memory I have from my time skiing is during my season in Val d’Isère when, having hiked to the through heavy spring powder to reach the top of one of my favourite off piste descents, I absent-mindedly sat on my favourite pit-stop rock to have a spot of lunch. I turned around to gaze down at the valley bellow to see a Bearded Vulture standing in all its glory not 5 meters away from me. Not only did I get to see one of the rarest Birds of Prey in Europe, but the Bearded Vulture is also the Symbol of Val d’Isère. It stared at me for a few moments before flying off majestically. I was so mesmerised I had not noticed the cheese in my sandwich that I was holding about to take a bite had slipped out!"

In the summer months, Tristan turns his thoughts towards hiking and camping in the mountains. Whether walking amidst Marmots, Ibex and Chamois in Vanoise National Park, hearing Iberian wolves howl or camping amongst foraging foxes and curious adders in Spain's Sierra de Gredos, Tristan loves to immerse himself amongst the alpine wildlife.

Anne the snowboarder

Specialism: Snowboarding & Hiking

Dungaree aficionado Anna is another of our resident snowboarders. While she doesn't profess to be an expert as such, she does admit to having become a little obsessed since she first took it up in 2015, when she would hit up Milton Keynes 3-4 times a week. Having learnt so recently, she is a great source of advice for those looking to develop their riding as well.

With much of her immediate family living in Colorado, she takes the opportunity to visit the mountains each time she visits. Her favourite area is Winter Park Resort, "There is so much room, even on busy days – and everyone is super friendly. No offence Europe but I'm USA all the way! This year I'm hoping to visit Copper Mountain and perfect riding switch."

During summer visits, Anna turns her attention to the trails, hiking around Fort Collins and nearby Horsetooth Mountain, with its unique rock formations.
