Laura Jones

Laura ran 7 marathons around the world in one year, including the Mount Everest Marathon, and the World’s coldest marathon, in the Arctic Circle in winter. She started running from scratch in 2016, and since finishing her Seven Marathons challenge, has completed several ultra-marathons, including in the Alps and further afield.

Prior to finding her passion for running, she always had a love for the great outdoors. In 2014 she completed a self-supported ski mountaineering expedition to the highest mountain in the Arctic, in remote East Greenland. She’s also guided on Kilimanjaro, Mount Kenya and Mount Toubkal, and has travelled all over the world in search of adventure.

Closer to home, since having a baby in 2022, she still enjoys spending as much time as possible in the hills, and has the Lake District on her doorstep. She can usually be found spending her weekends and evenings swimming in one of the lakes, hiking in the hills, or wild camping by a quiet tarn with her family. She’s already laced up her running shoes and completed her first ultra since having Phoebe, and in 2024 she has her sights set on the CCC at the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc.
