  • Hayley Cook

    Camping Expert

    Store: MILTON KEYNES TREK

Camping enthusiast Hayley has been pitching up since she was very young when she would go out with her dad. She has camped extensively all over the UK, and has grown a real passion for wild camping.

Hayley's party trick is her stunning ability to get a tent up in record time - anyone who's witnessed it will attest! She'll be using this superpower when she completes her Gold Duke of Edinburgh this year.

    Favourite Destination:

Forest of Dean. "It's the first place I went as a kid and have been back there loads over the years."

  • Richard Kelynack

    Trekking Expert

    Store: MILTON KEYNES TREK

Richard is a highly experienced winter walker. He has spent winters becoming intimately acquainted with the peaks of Lake District and Snowdonia, facing every condition imaginable, so is a great port of call for advice on routes when the cold weather takes hold. Richard has spent time working in our Capel Curig store, using every opportunity to explore the surrounding Welsh mountains.

Despite his masses of experience in the UK's mountains, Richard has never summitted Ben Nevis and is hoping to rectify this and conquer Britain's highest peak very soon.

    Favourite Destination:

Helvellyn, Lake District. "It has the most variable and fickle weather, and that's how I like it - never boring! Crisp days up there are the best and the technical descents are amazing."

  • Kenny Pitts

Despite preferring the technical challenges of bouldering, he can lead climb both outdoors and in and is trained to CWA qualification level.

Kenny understands the importance of good climbing equipment more than most after taking a hit while lead climbing. "It made me appreciate the quality of equipment I was using", he says. This year he will be completing his CWA assessment.

    Favourite Destination:

Windgather Rocks, Peak District. "I love the bouldering here, there's a great range of routes and challenges."
