Following the success of last years Girls on Ice sessions at the North Face Store Manchester, The North Face & Ellis Brigham have teamed up to present more Girls On Ice sessions at the SAAB ice wall, at The North Face Store, Manchester, climb with the UK's Leading female Ice Climber Lucinda Hughes. Pick up tips on technique or simply experience the thrill of Ice Climbing on the UK's most challenging ice wall.

WHAT: Girls on Ice - Lucinda Hughes, the UK’s number one female climber, will be holding a series of special women’s only ice climbing master-classes.

WHEN: Thursdays 23rd November & 14th December 6.30pm - 9.30pm (session times 6.30pm - 7.30pm, 7.30pm - 8.30pm, 8.30pm - 9.30pm)

This exclusive series of sessions are for women only and will teach all the basics from how to put on your crampons and hold an ice axe to much more technical climbing techniques.

Lucinda Hughes is consistently the UK’s leading female climber and competes all around the world. And it’s not just her climbing pedigree that’s proven. When not scaling rock faces across the world, Lucinda is a science teacher and the northern coach for the national junior competition climbing team so she’s an expert at passing on her considerable knowledge.

Since taking to the sport relatively late at the age of 17 she has quickly climbed the rankings and claimed the British Indoor Climbing Championships

(BICC) Women’s title in 2002.

She quickly added the A5 British Bouldering Championships (BBC) 2002/3 title and now regularly finishes as the first Brit in Bouldering World Cup events across the globe (1 hour session includes all kit and instruction 20 minute briefing and kitting up time)

Prices are £20.00 per person for those that have completed the induction course or £40 to include the induction course.
