New Ascent technology stiffens the midsole for edging and crampon work, while a Lite 3 anatomic footbed keeps things super-comfortable on long mountain approaches. The Vibram Ascent sole combines downhill grip on the heel with a sleek toe area for climbing performance; but if a storm rolls in, the Perwanger leather, synthetic lorica and GORE-TEX lined uppers will protect you. C2 crampon compatible.

I have used this boot a lot in the Lake district in all weathers and can honestly say they were well worth the money [i paid £200} i have been in torrential rain and knee deep snow and they have never leaked, they are crampon compatable.the only drawback and i think this applies to most 4 season boots is they make walking on roads and hard paths a bit uncomfortable
