Fitzroy Primaloft jacket
This jacket replaced my snugpak jacket and is truly several levels better. It repels water very well, the wired hood gives good protection and warmth and fits under a helmet easily. it Packs small and is very light for its function. It's wind-proof to a good degree and it's draw cords are well positioned. The hood uses a velcro flap when not in use rather than folding into the collar. It's comfortable to wear and allows full use of arms without pulling up when reaching at full stretch. The pockets are ample and the single chest pocket is very useful.

Excellent jacket
Wanted something warm enough for general winter wear around town, short day walks up local hills, watching my kids play football etc. But I also wanted it to be suitable for winter hiking and to pack up small. Down is great, but as we all know, keeping it dry can be a real problem. So far the Fitzroy is proving to be excellent. It's well made, light and certainly warm enough for my usage. Might not be warm enough for really cold temp backpacking or mountaineering though. More of a jacket you wear while walking rather than something yopu chuck on to stay warm when you stop. Typically good ME hood.
