![]() New Name, New Features & Formats, Same High Standards British Snowboard and Freeski Tour 2007 News Update 15th August 2007 ? The British Snowboard and Freeski Tour organisers are stoked once again, to be working with three of the industry?s rock steady brands, Animal, Quiksilver and Trespass, to roll out the upcoming UK tour. With the three brands each stepping up to secure their own event discipline, new tour features including jam sessions and freestyle coaching, coupled with product testing and 1,000 free beginner lessons up for grabs, take five from Facebook and get involved on www.britishsnowtour.com, as the new website is live & kicking now? Spencer Claridge, Director of Soul Sports commented: ? ?It?s great news to have Animal, Quiksilver and Trespass all back on board for the upcoming British Snow Tour. We?re all dedicated to pushing the limits of the British Freestyle scene to the max to give UK athletes a springboard onto the World stage. It will be great to work alongside these leading core brands ensuring the new tour continues to work towards promoting UK slopes, supporting local scenes and increasing the participation and success of competitive wintersports in the UK?. Continuing to provide a path from grass roots through to the highest level of Freeski and Snowboard competition in the UK, the British Snow Tour offers something for all tastes, with great new features for competitors and spectators alike including:- Freestyle Coaching - New for 2007, Method Snow School will be providing free coaching sessions for anyone looking for that extra bit of freestyle know-how. Ride?s pro team snowboarders, including Scott Mcmorris and Laura Berry will also have their coaching beanies on to offer some top tips, whilst international Quiksilver team riders have also been rumoured to be making an appearance, so watch this space for further announcements? Free Product Testing - Get the chance to try out next seasons ski kit from K2 and Faction Skis and snowboard kit from Salomon, K2 and Ride, with testing running alongside the freestyle coaching sessions. During the championships, Salomon and Faction Ski?s will also be dishing out new set-ups in the ?Salomon Best Un-sponsored? and Faction Ski?s ?Step Up? awards. New Expression sessions - Relaxed jam and expression sessions will run in conjunction with each championship event, giving you more slope time and the chance to get your hands on more great prizes. The Schools Tour Team - Headed up by Animal pro rider, Sonia Shaw (the brains), James Thorne (the mouth) and Paddy Graham (the tramp?olinist), and joined along the way by local pro-riders, including Ride?s Chris Chatt, the team will be stopping at two schools in each area prior to every championship event. Friend requests are predicted to go through the roof, particularly as Animal, Quiksilver and Trespass will be offering over 1,000 free ski and snowboard lessons at the championship learner academies. TTR points - The British Snowboard Tour continues to be the only UK event to award competitors with prestigious TTR points and TTR World Snowboard Tour Ranking.
