The alps have recently experienced a number Avalanches and sadly there have been some fatalities as a result. The risk of further slides is reported to be high so prepare yourself well and if riding off piste take the necessary precautions and equipment including transceivers, probes, shovels. Take care out there!
Also remember to read the avalanche warning boards and if in doubt ask a pisteur. Take care.
