Southern Ice Cap, Patagonia, September 2007.
Brian Molyneux, manager of the Liverpool store has shared a few photos from the 600+ taken with us to share his experience in one of the most beautiful yet demanding places on earth. A few words from the man himself...
"If you are thinking of going please don't let the following pictures fool you! The weather is not just bad, it's appaulling. With winds that eat tents and temperatures to die for but when it's good, it's the best place in the world for me".

Evening light on the westside of Fitzroy showing the sleek Cassaroti Pillar on the left hand side of the main bulk of the mountain.

Pulling sledges over the southern Patagonia ice cap. It's big, it's cold and it's very beautiful.

The west face of Cerro Torre with Torre Egger and Cerro Standhardt on the left. The Jetboil's on the go making tea with the best bedroom view on the planet.

Sunset on Fitzroy with La Aguja Bifida in the foreground. Once the sun sets the temperature plummets.

If you follow the line from the tip of the pole to the ridge in the shade thats where our tents is. We were about 2500ft above it.

Phil Waters descending from just below the col on La Aguja Bifida.

Stopping for a brew on the ice cap. It was a privilege to be there! If you are going bring at least one Jet Boil stove.

Returning on the last good day with Fitzroy in the backgorund. What a stunning area! The following day it was business as usual for Patagonia with a full blown blizzard with 100 m.p.h. winds.

Thats it for another year. Back to work for four months fitting ski boots and selling skis!
