Outdoor Marketing Content Developer

We are looking to add a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual to create written marketing content as part of our Bristol based Outdoor product/buying team. The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate a real passion for, and be an active participant in outdoor and mountain sports activities.

It is essential that you can demonstrate a high level of writing ability that is both creative, and persuasive, and that you have an excellent command of the English language, including structure, format, grammar and punctuation.

With new outdoor ranges appearing twice each year, plus mid-season launches of product, your organisational abilities need to be very strong and you must have the ability to work under pressure to ensure key deadlines are met.

You will also need to have strong computer skills including a good level of knowledge using Excel and Word, plus be able to easily pick up additional skills required for this role such as understanding different picture and vector file formats, using suppliers' download sites, Dropbox etc.

You must also be a good communicator, being able to liaise directly with all the buyers, suppliers and our marketing departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Writing suitable Product copy for use online and in the catalogues across all categories of Outdoor products – Clothing, Footwear, Equipment and Outdoor Accessories.
  • Writing suitable Introduction style copy for categories, and brands
  • Writing suitable Email shot content.
  • Writing general content for use online and in other marketing material when requested.
  • Sourcing all Outdoor product images, logos etc from our Suppliers.
